Design
The Beltron S2 headphones are a simple, no frills options for those wanting a lightweight on-ear headphone design.
The deep shimmering chrome with bright zingy orange accents are a nice aesthetic combination. I found the audio controls simple and intuitive and (all importantly) the logo is minimal and inoffensive–a big plus in my opinion!
Audio Performance
For the price, the audio is rich and engaging, not bad at all. High definition 40mm drivers help deliver a broad soundstage with punchy bass and clear trebles.
Build Quality
Build quality was the one area that I reserved doubts about with the S2s. However, when I received them, I was pleasantly surprised in this regard. The low profile frame is slim but robust, sturdy and surprisingly comfortable.
Comfort
The Beltron S2 headphones are very light and I personally found them comfortable. It’s important to understand this as weight plays a massive effect when determining the comfort levels of headphones.
However, having said this, comfort is a very subjective topic and from experience with firmer sprung steel headbands, I would probably only recommend the S2s for people with average (or smaller) sized heads.
Functionality
Simplicity certainly has its benefits. The S2 headphones might not be feature packed, but what it does do, it does well. You can listen to your favourite music, radio station, watch a film or TV show either wirelessly or wired. Take phone calls, video calls or participate in online meetings whilst looking effortlessly cool in your cheaper-than-they-look slim-profile chrome and orange audio accessory. 😉
